Hurricane Mabel has hit the carribean isle of San Fernandez. Mabel has caused hundreds of deaths but Dr. Wyatt ,the world's leading hurricane expert, helped 2 million people get to safety. He used the military to force the people into holes in the ground where they survived the storm.
Wyatt is now considered a national hero. The government offered money to him but he refused. This is what he says about his help:
"It´s my job to stop hurricanes killing too many citizens. I don't want money, you need it to rebuild the island."
